Alexander Ivanov (1806-1858) - Russian painter, a master of historical painting, a representative academism by grandiose canvases «The Appearance of Christ to the people».
Alexander Ivanov, was born 28 (28) July 1806 in the artist's family. Eleven years of age received «outsiders» disciple of the Imperial Academy of Arts.
