Aloisia Jan Matejko (polsk. Jan Alojzy Matejko; June 24, 1838, Cracow - November 1, 1893, Cracow) - Polish painter, author of battle and historical canvases.
It was the ninth child in a family in which a total of eleven children. As a child survived the bombardment of the Austrian army in Krakow (1848). He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow (1852-1858), the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (1859) and Vienna (1860). Since 1860 worked in Cracow, where he died in 1893 and was buried.
