Alexander Vasilievich Kuprin (Russian: Александр Васильевич Куприн) was a Russian painter, a member of the Jack of
Diamonds group. Kuprin was born in Borisoglebsk (in Voronezh Oblast, Russia) in 1880 and died in Moscow in 1960.

Born in the family of a teacher in Borisoglebsk Tambov province. An attempt to reach the St. Petersburg Academy
