Evelyn De Morgan (1855 - 1919)
Evelyn De Morgan was born Aug. 30, 1855 in London. She was eldest child in a wealthy aristocratic family. The artist's father, Andre Persival Pickering, was a successful lawyer and her mother, Anna Maria Wilhelmina, sister of the painter went to John Spencer Stanhope Roddemu.
Evelyn received excellent home education, and with 15 years beginning to take drawing lessons. The artist died in London on May 2nd, 1919.
