Henriette Ronner-Knip (1821 - 1909)
The Danish artist, animal painter, known for her images of cats and dogs.
Her paintings have won medals at exhibitions throughout the world, including two bronze medals, five silver medals and six gold medals. King of the Netherlands also introduced Ronner-KNIP to the "unique Medal of Merit in 1874.
