Charles Spencelayh의 작품들 (화가)

Charles Spencelayh (October 27, 1865 - June 25, 1958), the celebrated British artist of the late Victorian era - the mid-XX century.

Born in Rochester, Kent. In 1885, Charles enrolled at the National Art School (Royal College of Art). This was followed by studies at the Royal Academy in 1892. To complete his training, he went to study in Paris, where he exhibited at the Paris Salon.
Although, in the first place, Spensley became known for his many paintings, it was highly appreciated as a watercolorist, engraver, and the master of portrait miniatures.
Surprisingly, the artist, outlook and skill which was formed at the end of the Victorian era, preserved in his soul a state of leisurely, unhurried pace of life, typical of the XIX century. The tangible world of his paintings, where time seems to stop, its interiors, sometimes oversaturated various small details drawn from such love and wonderful portraits, delicately noted by the characters - pretty much can tell us about the era ...
Work Spensleya in several museums, including the City of Bradford Art Gallery, Tate Gallery in London, the City of Manchester Art Gallery, Museum and Art Gallery Harris Preston.
