Charles Roka was born in Hungary in 1912. After he finished his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest, he went traveling in Europe. In 1937 he finally settled in Norway, and lived in Bærum, near Oslo until his death. Roca attended one year at the Academy in Oslo. In 1939 he wrote his first half-naked picture of gypsy girl he saw in Marseille a few years nazad.Mnogochislennye variation of the Gypsies brought the artist to financial success, but unfortunately the artist was that he was despised by the art world, his name became synonymous with excess artistic kitsch, but nevertheless he was loved by his people.
