Thomas Faed (Thomas Faed; June 8, 1826 - August 17, 1900) - Scottish painter, was born in the Gatehouse, Kirkcudbrightshire, brother of artist John Faed.
He received his artistic education at the School of Design, Edinburgh and was elected a member of the Royal Scottish Academy in 1849.
Thomas Faed came to London three years later and was elected a member of the Royal Academy in 1861 and academician in 1864, retired in 1893. Thomas Faed was a great success as a painter of genre painting. He died in London in 1900.
